International Partnership

An important course of NPA activity is partnership and cooperation with foreign colleagues. We strive to promote Ukrainian psychology in the world, share experience and spread the best foreign practise in Ukraine.

European Federation of Psychologists Associations

Since 2017, the National Psychological Association has been the National Representative of Ukraine in the European Federation of Psychological Associations. Members of the NPA are members of various EFPA committees and are also involved in the implementation of the international certification system for psychologists EuroPsy in Ukraine.

The EFPA was founded in 1981 in Germany and today is the leading association of National Psychological Associations in Europe, which provides a space for a wide range of psychologists to work. As of 2025, the EFPA has 37 member associations, which is more than 400,000 psychologists. EFPA member organizations are dedicated to the promotion and advancement of psychology as a profession and discipline, particularly in its applied aspects, and with an emphasis on training and research related to such practice. Psychologists in member associations include practitioners, academics, and research psychologists.

American Psychological Association

In 2018, the American Psychological Association signed a memorandum of cooperation with the NPA. Members of the NPA are members of expanded working groups initiated by the APA, and the President of the NPA represents the Ukrainian community in the international movement Global Psychology Alliance with the support of the APA. American partners actively support the Ukrainian association with mentoring, resources, and information support.

The APA was founded in 1892 and is one of the most influential psychological associations in the world, including professionals from the United States and Canada, as well as associate members from other countries. The total number of members is 150 thousand people. The organization’s mission is to promote psychology as a science, a profession, and a means of improving people’s well-being, mental health, and education.

Global Psychology Alliance

Since 2019, the NPA has been a member of the Global Psychology Alliance, an informal union of psychological associations around the world.

The Global Psychology Alliance unites the efforts of psychologists around the world in the fight against large-scale global challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis, and mental health support.

European Federation of Psychology Students Associations

Since 2021, the student division of the NPA has been an associate member of the European Federation of Psychology Student Associations.

EFPSA was founded in 1987. Its goal is to unite psychology students in Europe, to increase opportunities for academic mobility, exchange of experience and knowledge. 33 organizations currently belong to EFPSA and 3 are in the process of joining.

UNDP

The partnership with UNDP has long played a role in the development of the NPA Psychological Crisis Line, which has been operating since June 2022, providing assistance to war-affected people by phone and IP in Ukraine and 21 European countries.

USAID

In cooperation with USAID, the NPA implemented initiatives aimed at supporting psychologists, developing educational programs, and implementing modern standards in the field of mental health. USAID also supported the activities of the NPA’s Psychological Crisis Line, which provided free assistance to people who faced emotional difficulties due to the war.

Since 2022, the NPA has been receiving technical support to ensure the stable operation of the NPA Crisis Line.

Deloitte

Since 2022, this partnership has contributed to the effective operation of the crisis line by providing software and technical specialists to keep it running smoothly and securely.

Israel Trauma Coalition

The Coalition was established in 2002 to harness the collective knowledge, experience and expertise of Israel’s leading NGOs and government organizations to address the aftermath of traumatic events.

The ITC sends teams of professionals around the world to train government officials and relevant professionals to respond to traumatic events, promote rehabilitation and overall self-regulation in the community.

Mindy Charitable Foundation

The Mindy Charitable Foundation is the organizer of a volunteer project that provides psychological assistance to Ukrainians affected by the war, the military and their families, hospitals (including support for prosthetics), and adaptation to civilian life.

The foundation has created an online platform where people can get free psychological counseling from experienced professionals and, if necessary, take a course in rehabilitation and social adaptation.

Charitable Foundation “Mental Health of Ukraine”

The Foundation was created to overcome the consequences of the war and support the mental health of Ukrainians. The Foundation implements initiatives aimed at restoring the mental health of Ukrainians and improving the training of future professionals in this field.

UA-TEST

UA-TEST is a leading psychological testing platform that provides access to high-quality, scientifically based methods for psychologists, educators, and HR professionals. The company is engaged in the adaptation and implementation of modern psychological tools in Ukraine, contributing to the professional development of specialists and the development of a culture of psychodiagnostics.
